“Taking on a Modern Apprentice has brought us a valuable and enthusiastic new addition to our workforce - a real asset.

As the apprentice works to a personal training plan, we knew that all aspect of the training would be covered. With administration and paperwork managed by Swansea ITeC, we saved time and reduced our costs.

Also the regular reviews allowed us to monitor their progress against key milestones.

As all of Swansea ITeC’s training co-ordinators know and understand the industry, it is extremely easy to take on and train a Modern Apprentice and know they will receive the highest level of support.”

Computer Network Manager, Bishop Gore, Comprehensive School

Training Information

Our IT training course is not just for your new staff, but existing employees as well, it is also available to employees of all ages.

The Foundation Modern Apprenticeship leads to National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2 and the Advanced Modern Apprenticeship to NVQ level 3.

Modern Apprentices will also be trained in Soft Skills, such as team working, communication, and problem solving - everything needed to become a success in the workplace.

Modern Apprenticeships progress at a pace suitable for the trainee and their company. Usually a Modern Apprenticeship lasts about 2.5 years, but it can be a bit shorter or longer.

Progress can be made from a Foundation Modern Apprenticeship to an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship and from there an apprentice can go on learning and gaining higher qualifications right the way to university and beyond...
